Maker’s Table

Let’s get together as a community of makers! Bring your sketchbook, drawing supplies, small painting, print-making, fiber-based project, or any materials that inspire you. All are welcome, regardless of experience!

  • Cost: Free - no registration necessary

  • Winter/Spring dates: 2/27 and 3/26 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. and 4/23 and 5/28 from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Mosaic Garden Art

Are you looking for something fun and whimsical to hang in your garden or in your home? Then this mosaic class is for you! Participants will adorn a weatherproof panel with beautiful, random cut-stained class, gems, and mirrors. Design ideas such as flowers, words and other fun ideas will be available, or create your own design! Mosaic techniques and tips will be provided, as well as all tools and supplies. NO glass cutting or experience is needed for this class.

Ages 16 & up. Students will be given all grouting material, supplies and instructions to complete at home.

  • Instructor: Renee Reinardy of Rather Bee Crafting

Artist bio: Renee has been providing art and craft classes to adults and children for the past 15 years. She enjoys passing on her experience with random projects through classes and activities in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She is always developing new crafting skills and is inspired by teaching others. The basic idea behind Renee’s classes is to remind people that anyone of any ability can be creative. Renee hopes her fellow crafters feel inspired by what they learn and keep creating after they leave class.

Pheasant Feather Flowers

Create a woodsy flower using beautiful pheasant feathers. Feather flowers look lovely in dried grass arrangements, adorning your favorite hat, or any place where you’d like to bring in a playful breath of nature. Rita Zawislak-Brandt will demonstrate how to use floral wire to create these flowers, adding feathers with different colors and designs to achieve the size and fullness of your preference.

Ages 16 & up. All materials will be provided. Please bring a plastic salad bowl or cake pan with a cover to help with sorting feathers.

Ink Tile Coasters

Do you love vivid colors and blending them to make something beautiful? Using alcohol inks, you will mix colors to create vibrant marbled effects on tile. You will learn a fun and easy technique to blend and blow alcohol ink to create art. Tiles will be available to practice on, and you will leave with four 4x4 inch completed tiles ready to become coasters or colorful décor.

No experience is needed for this class. Ages 16 & up.
